When patrol deputies answered a 911 call to the home, the victims identified their attacker as an acquaintance, Roger Sutton, 32, of Hinnant Road in Pikeville. Detectives learned Wednesday that Sutton could be found at a home near LaGrange. He was arrested without incident.
Sutton was charged with two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill while inflicting serious injury. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail under $50,000 secured bond.
Additional charges will be sought through grand jury indictments, said Capt. George Raecher.
