House trashed
A house at 1900 Antioch Road sustained an estimated $250,000 in damages between Feb. 3 and Wednesday, according to a report filed with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
The house, valued at $450,000, was owned by Charles Kendall.
The staircase was torn off, walls damaged, chandeliers broken, cabinet doors smashed, tubs and toilets damaged and windows shattered, deputies said. Evidence was recovered at the home.
Detectives believe that whoever did the crime had to have been in the house a long time.
An employee from Century 21 had come to the home in order to show it to a customer and found the damage, the report said.
