Classes in the arts being offered at WCC

Several continuing education courses that develop skills and enhance artistic talents will start at Wayne Community College this month. All are eight-week classes with a $35 fee.

Students can register and pay fees in the Continuing Education Department office prior to the start of class or at the first class meeting for the courses listed below.

*Two sessions of stained glass, 4-6 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, beginning March 8 in Room 205 of the Magnolia Building on the main campus.

*Photography, 7-9 p.m. on Tuesdays, beginning March 8 in Room 214 of the Wayne Learning Center.

*Flower arranging, 7-10 p.m. on Mondays, beginning March 7 at the Artistic Cottage.

*Two sessions of Bob Ross landscape painting, 9 a.m.-noon on Saturdays, beginning March 5 and 6-9 p.m. on Mondays beginning March 7 in Room 205 of the Magnolia Building.

*Two sessions of Dewberry One-Stroke Painting, 6-9 p.m. on Mondays, beginning March 7 in Room 209 of the Magnolia Building and 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, beginning March 8 at Brogden Methodist Church.

*Basic sewing, 6-9 p.m. on Mondays, beginning March 7 in Room 124 of the Holly Building. Students must bring their own machines.

*Sewing custom window treatments, 9 a.m.-noon on Saturdays, beginning March 5 in Room 209 of the Magnolia Building. Students must bring their own machines.

*Two sessions of Upholstery, 9 a.m.-noon or 6-9 p.m, both on Mondays, beginning March 7 on the South Campus.

*Taxidermy, 6-10 p.m. on Thursdays, beginning March 10 in Room 209 of the Magnolia Building.
