Student talent will be showcased in the 15th annual "Apollo Show" at Wayne Community College on Thursday, Feb. 24. The public is invited to attend the show at 2 p.m. in Moffatt Auditorium on the college's main campus in Goldsboro. Admission is $1.
The program is modeled on the amateur night shows at the world-famous Apollo Theatre in Harlem. WCC's Multi-Cultural Association for Enrichment sponsors the event, which lasts about an hour and consists mostly of musical acts. Winning performances, determined by a three-judge panel, will be awarded cash prizes based on originality, dress, personality and delivery.
