Festival awards

Mount Olive Chamber officials are in South Carolina this weekend with five nominations for festival awards.
Patti O'Donoghue, president of the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce, is attending the annual meeting of the N.C. Association of Festivals & Events this weekend in Greenville, S.C.
The Mount Olive crew always brings back several awards.
The T-shirt design, which usually wins an award, has been chosen this year. The committee is looking for colors and has ordered samples of Carolina Blue, Key Lime, Lemon Zest and Hot Pink.
"We're going toward bright colors this year," said Mrs. O'Donoghue. "We think the design will lend itself to nicely to hot colors.
The design will be: "Have you heard about" on top and "the N.C. Pickle Festival 2005" on the bottom. Between the words will be a bunch of pickle people talking to each other on cell phones.
