Democrat precinct meetings set

The Wayne County Democratic Party has announced the following schedule for precinct meetings at its headquarters at 138 N. Center St.:
Tuesday, Feb. 22 -- No. 2 (Eureka Methodist Church), 6 p.m.; No. 3 (Little River), 6:30 p.m.; No. 8 (Oakland Fire Station), 7 p.m.; No. 9 (Westwood United Methodist Church), 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 24 -- No. 4 (Pikeville Fire Station), 6 p.m.; No. 5 (Belfast Fire Station), 6:30 p.m.; No. 6 (Saulston Fire Station), 7 p.m.; No. 11 (Greenleaf Church), 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, March 1 -- No. 16 (American Legion), 6 p.m.; No. 24 (Grantham Fire Station), 6:30 p.m; No. 27 (Brogden Middle School), 7 p.m.; No. 28 (Indian Springs Fire Department), 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 3 -- No. 13 (Oak Forest Church), 6 p.m.; No. 14 (New Hope Friends Church), 6:30 p.m.; No. 15 (Spring Creek High School), 7 p.m.; No. 22 (Greenwood Middle School), 7:30 p.m.
Monday, March 7 -- No. 17 (Wayne Center), 6 p.m.; No. 18 (WAGES), 6:30 p.m.; No. 19 (Carver Heights), 7 p.m.; No. 20 (First African Baptist Church), 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, March 8 -- No. 7 (New Hope Fire Station), 6 p.m.; No. 10 (Goldsboro Friends Church), 6:30 p.m.; No.12 (Family Y), 7 p.m.; No. 29 (Goldsboro library), 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 10 -- No. 21 (St. Luke UMC), 6 p.m.; No. 23 (Goldsboro Wesleyan), 6:30 p.m.
Also, a precinct meeting for No. 26 (Dudley Fire Station) will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at the fire station, 4533 U.S. 117 South Alternate.
Dates for precincts 1 (Fremont Fire Station), 25 (Mount Olive Civic Center) and 30 (Southern Academy) will be announced later.
All registered Democrats are asked to attend the meeting for their precincts so that they can hear about party issues.
