'Peter Pan' tickets
Tickets for the Stagestruck production of "Peter Pan" are on sale at the Arts Council of Wayne County. Costs range from $8 through $15. Performance dates are Thursday, Feb. 24, 7 p.m.; Friday, Feb. 25, 7 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 26, 1 and 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 27, 3 p.m.

Airmen, jets return
Several hundred airmen were due to arrive at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base this afternoon from their deployment in the Middle East.
About one dozen F-15E Strike Eagles are scheduled to return Thursday afternoon. The return of the airmen and jets was delayed to support the recent elections in Iraq.
Perdue visit
Lt. Gov. Beverly Perdue will speak Tuesday at the open house of the Duplin County airport's new corporate and maintenance hangar in Kenansville.
Ms. Perdue will speak at 10:30 a.m. in the MFP Hangar, 260 Airport Road, to kick off the open house.
The Duplin County Airport Commission is hosting the open house and a meeting of the 14-member state Aeronautics Council. The members of the council advise the Secretary of Transportation on aviation grants and other matters the secretary may refer to them.
The council meeting will begin around 11 a.m. A luncheon will follow at noon.
Pet adoption Sunday
The Duplin Animal Rescue Team will hold a pet adoption from 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Pet Supplies Plus, 319 N. Berkeley Blvd., Goldsboro.

Trolley rides
Want to horse around with your sweetie on Valentine's Day?
You're in luck then because the Downtown Goldsboro Development Corporation is sponsoring free horse-drawn trolley rides downtown from 4-7 p.m. Monday.
People can get aboard the trolley at Goldsboro City Hall and ride a loop around Center, Walnut, John and Mulberry streets. The trolley will stop at two locations, allowing people to stop to shop or eat dinner and then get back on.
Rides will be available on a first-come, first served basis.
Familiar faces
Don't be surprised if you see a couple of familiar faces when Wayne Community Concerts presents its 2005-06 season.
Among the artists scheduled to appear are Wayne County's Weil Sawyer and Will Clifton.
Sawyer will perform an organ concert at First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 4 p.m.
Clifton will sing at Wayne Community College on Friday, March 10, 2006. He is a member of the Yale University a cappella group, The Alley Cats.
Admission will be by season membership. The membership drive is expected to begin in early May.
