Investigations
The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating the following crimes:
*An employee at Tropical Pools at 4209 U.S. 70 East told police somebody took two pools and decks from behind the business. They are valued at $8,000. The report said the pools and decks had not been put together. The employee said it would have taken a large truck and probably a trailer to haul them. They were last secured on Jan. 7.
*Helen Sims of Olivia Lane told police somebody pried the lock off her storage building and took a push lawnmower, a tool box and tools and a drink cooler, all valued at $830.
*Hilda Bedford of Princeton told police someone used her security code to unlock her 2000 Mercury Sable while it was parked at Creative Sewing and Vacuum Center, 1208 N. Berkeley Blvd. and took her purse. The report said the purse and contents were valued at $510 and included a debit card and two credit cards.
*Eric Lamar Giles of West Lockhaven Drive told police someone entered his unlocked 1999 GMC Denali while it was parked at his home and took a $450 handgun out of the glove compartment. He described the gun as a Taurus automatic with a wood grain pistol grip and trimmed in gold color with chrome bearing.
*Jennifer McDuffie, 19, of Fourth Street, told police she was at a friend's house on Bryan Street when her ex-boyfriend came over and kicked in the front door, causing $200 worth of damage. The report said it occurred at the home of Nardeasha Thompson.
