Allen to speak

MOUNT OLIVE -- Barbara Allen, chairman of the North Carolina Democratic Party, will speak in the Lois K. Murphy Regional Center at Mount Olive College at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27.
She will address political, financial, and economic expectations for the next 20 years. The event is part of the Business Breakfast Briefing series sponsored by the Mount Olive College School of Business.
Ms. Allen is active in the Wake County Democratic Party and Wake County Democratic Women. She is a former department head for Carolina Power & Light and has spent 12 years on the State Board of Community Colleges. She is involved in many civic and cultural groups. She serves on the North Carolina Citizens for Business and Industry Forum, Women's Forum of North Carolina, and University of North Carolina Public Television Foundation Board.

Cost for the breakfast and seminar is $15 for those who pre-register and $20 at the door and consists of a breakfast buffet and networking session from 7:30 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. The program will begin at 8 a.m. and will finish by 9 a.m.
