Woman calls man,
confesses to theft
A woman called her former boyfriend Saturday and said that she had damaged his apartment and had stolen a video-game system, according to a Goldsboro police report.
When the resident, Tavarus Deon Sutton, got home, he found that a door had been smashed, the home ransacked and a coffee table damaged, police said.
Sutton then got a call from a woman who said she had broken into his home, the report said. Police then arrested Ebony Tashonda Hicks, 19, of Astor Court and charged her with three felonies, breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods. She was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $2,400 bond.
Sutton said his video-game system was worth $300. Damage was estimated at $225.
Man assaulted
A man was struck with a two-foot-long steel ashtray before dawn today in his home on Keith Place, police said.
Jerelm L. Bell was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital but he declined treatment, the report said.
Later police arrested his girlfriend, Donna Mangum, 46, of Keith Place, and charged her with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. She was placed in the Wayne County Jail without bond.
Wanted by sheriff
Evans
Tiszon "T" Evans is wanted by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office on a charge of first-degree rape.
He is 6-feet-1 with black hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo of a cross on his left forearm. He weighs 190 pounds and may be armed and dangerous.

Three hurt in wrecks
Three people were injured and damages were estimated at $42,500 in four recent traffic collisions in Wayne County, officers reported.
*A driver from Goldsboro was injured in a collision at 6:07 p.m. Sunday on North Berkeley Boulevard near New Hope Road, Goldsboro police said. Larry Lee Best Jr., 32, of Mimosa Street was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital, a spokeswoman said. Police said Best had swerved to avoid a collision with an oncoming, northbound car that had turned left in front of him and Best's car then collided with a northbound pickup. The other driver was identified as John Earl Buckrham, 64, of Tommy's Road. No charges were filed. Damages were put at $900.
*A car was demolished at 7:10 p.m. Thursday when the driver swerved to miss an animal on Claridge Nursery Road and the car ran off the right side, struck a ditch and overturned, the Highway Patrol said. Frances L. Taylor, 16, of Old Kenly Road, Pikeville, was neither charged nor injured. The car was valued at $5,000.
*Both drivers were injured and their vehicles were demolished in a wreck at 3:11 p.m. Dec. 23 at Old Smithfield Road and N.C. 581, the Highway Patrol said. Ithamar Amezquita, 47, of Quaker Drive left Wayne Memorial Hospital against medical advice, a spokeswoman said, and Johnny Ray Beasley, 52, of Four Oaks and was released after emergency-room treatment. Amezquita, who was making a right turn from N.C. 581, was charged with driving left of center. His car collided with the eastbound tractor-trailer that Beasley was driving. The vehicles were valued at $28,800.
*Damages were estimated at $7,800 in a three-vehicle collision at 1:58 p.m. Dec. 23 on U.S. 70 near Wood Peck Road, the Highway Patrol said. One driver, Samuel Lopez Reyes, 26, of Kinston, was charged with failure to reduce speed after the rear-end collision. The other motorists were identified as Carl Lyn Black, 32, of Garland and Brenda Frances Benson, 53, of Swansboro.
Investigations
Wayne County law-enforcement officers are investigating these reports:
*A Remington rifle was stolen between Friday and Saturday after a truck window was smashed in the 200 block of Ramblewood Drive, sheriff's deputies said. The owner and resident, Glanton R. Holland, put an $800 value on the rifle and set damage at $200.
*Tools, a tool box, clothes and about $300 were stolen between Friday and Saturday from a truck in the 1400 block of Dobbersville Road, deputies said. The owner, Roland Parker, said his property was worth $1,450.
*A wallet with personal papers and $200 was stolen between Friday and Saturday after a vehicle window was shattered in the 1200 block of Old Smith Chapel Road, deputies said. The owner, Timothy R. Parker of Goldsboro, estimated damage at $400 and set the value of the stolen property at $50, in addition to the cash.
*A log splitter, a backpack blower and a chain saw were stolen between Thursday and Friday from the 200 block of Marlin Lane, deputies said. The resident and owner, Christopher Dale Stocks, put a $2,100 value on his property.
*Hand tools, two shovels and a drop cord were stolen between Friday and Saturday from trucks at Precision Plumbing Co. at 205 Fedelon Trail, Goldsboro police said. The tools, owned by Daryl Lynn Radford of Trenton, were valued at $400. The thief had smashed a window, inflicting about $300 in damages, to get the tools. The other property, owned by the company, was valued at $60.
Drug charges
A 23-year-old woman was arrested Sunday night by Goldsboro police and charged with multiple drug violations.
Lacey Ann Brown of Fedelon Trail was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count each of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $4,000 secured bond.
