The Little Bank on Goldsboro's Center Street was robbed around 9:30 this morning. No one was hurt.

Investigators from the Goldsboro Police Department spent the morning processing the scene, and were working to get fingerprints from the front door of the bank.

Yellow crime-scene tape blocked the front entrance of the bank, and there was a hand-written sign on the door saying it was "closed due to robbery."

Maj. Jay Memmelaar, who is in charge of investigations for the police department, said the FBI would be assisting his officers in the investigation.

Police searched for a blue vehicle that had been seen leaving the area.

Memmelaar did not yet know whether the robber was armed. He said a picture of the man would be available later.

An alert was broadcast for a black man about 5-feet-8 weighing 150 to 160 pounds and wearing a cloth on his head.

The North Carolina Bankers Association offers up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in a bank robbery.

To report information call the FBI at 1-800-209-2293.
