Wayne Country Day students earn AP scholar designation

Six students from Wayne Country Day School have earned the designation of AP Scholar for exceptional achievement on the college-level advanced-placement exams.
Students took the exam in May after taking advanced-level courses.
Amanda Knutson and Carolyn Ziemer, who is now a freshman at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least a 3.5 on all AP exams taken and grades 3 or higher on five or more of the exams.
Hannah Jernigan, who is now a freshman at N.C. State University, received the AP Scholar Honor Award by earning an average grade of at least a 3.25 on the exams and a grade 3 or higher on four or more of the exams.
Anna Compton and Elizabeth Moore, both freshman at N.C. State, and Laura Ziemer qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP exams with grades 3 or higher.
