The KB Toys store in Berkeley Mall is on the final list of stores that are expected to close, according to a list on KB Toys' Web site.
The list was updated in November.
John Reilly, a spokesman at the company's headquarters, could not be reached for comment but said last January that every store was going to be considered for closure, and a lot of different criteria are being used to decide on whether they will close, including store profitability and terms of the lease.
The Goldsboro store was not on the February list, but was on the updated list.
The company issued a press release in January stating that it plans to close at least 375 stores. It also stated that the Pittsfield, Mass.-based company will cut about 3,500 jobs and is restructuring to address financial challenges primarily from the price war during the 2003 holiday season.
