City sanitation schedule
The city of Goldsboro will observe the New Year's holiday on Monday. All sanitation collection services scheduled for Monday will be collected on Wednesday, Jan. 5.
This week's trash collection is on a regular schedule.
Holiday closings
Wayne County offices will be closed Friday in observance of the New Year's holiday. This will include the landfill and convenience centers.
The landfill and convenience centers will reopen Saturday. Other county offices return to their normal schedule Monday.
Goldsboro city offices will be closed Monday for the holiday.
Final ESF tally
Gifts to the Empty Stocking Fund reached almost $40,000 this year, providing a Christmas party, toys, clothes and treats for more than 600 children.
