Thefts
Wayne County sheriff's deputies are investigating these reports:
*A gold herringbone necklace, a shotgun, 15 compact discs and cosmetics were stolen between Wednesday and dawn today from a home in the 400 block of Summerlin Drive, sheriff's deputies said. The thief had damaged a door to get inside. The resident, Matthew S. Dunn, estimated the value of the stolen property at $1,150 and damage at $100.
*Jewelry, three jewelry boxes and a computer system were stolen Wednesday from a home in the 500 block of South Landfill Road, deputies said. The resident, D.L. Edwards, put a $2,875 value on the missing property.
*A phone, computer and computer keyboard were stolen Monday from a home at the 200 block of Beaver Drive after a window was pushed in. The owner and resident, Donna Jean Register, estimated the property's value at $950.
*A battery was stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday after a truck window was smashed in a church parking lot in the 4000 block of Central Heights Road, deputies said. The owner, Alvin Maurice Jones of Pikeville, said the battery was worth $50 and set damage at $150.
Investigations
Goldsboro police are investigating these crimes:
*A revolver was stolen Tuesday after the roof of a convertible vehicle was cut open in the 1900 block of South Slocumb Street, police said. The owner, Hilda Hill, estimated the revolver's value at $200 and damage at $1,500.
*A total of $1,400 was stolen Tuesday from Rhonda Howell Johnson of LaGrange, police said. The incident occurred at a bank at 1804 N. Berkeley Blvd.
*A green, four-door 2002 Ford Explorer was stolen Wednesday from a motel parking lot at 802 W. Grantham St., Goldsboro police said. The driver, William Chadbourne Kearney of Pikeville, told police that he was unloading the vehicle and had left the keys in it. The SUV, valued at $16,500, is owned by a car dealership in Wilson.
Drug charges
A 20-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office and charged with drug violations.
Ramone Coley of Brentwood Drive was charged with felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and resisting arrest. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $4,000 secured bond.
Coley had fled from Deputy J.H. Hill during an investigation of a suspicious person. After a brief chase Coley was arrested and the drugs were seized.
Missing
Three teen-agers were reported missing Wednesday to Goldsboro police.
*Dominique Danyelle Howell, 14, of 1100 N. Jefferson Ave. was described as black, 5-feet-2 and 110 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a dark complexion. When she was seen last at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, she was wearing a black and pink shirt, blue jeans, pink and white shoes and a black and orange coat.
*Antron Devon Lee, 16, of 413 Olivia Lane was described as black, 5-feet-11 and 140 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. He was seen last at 4:45 a.m. Nov. 9. No clothing description was available.
*Amanda Gale Barbour, 15, of 411 Lynn Ave. was described as white, 5-feet-5 and 140 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. When she was seen last at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, she was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, brown shoes and a black coat.
Anyone with information on the location of any of the teens was asked to call police at 705-6572.
Three hurt in wrecks
Three people were injured and damages were estimated at $15,800 in four recent traffic collisions in Wayne County.
*A driver from Goldsboro was injured and damages were estimated at $5,500 in two-vehicle collision at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at North Drive and Banks Avenue, Goldsboro police said. Elizabeth Thevenin, 48, of Banks Avenue was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital, a spokeswoman said. The other driver, Janice A. Holland, 46, of Rosewood Road, was charged with a yield violation at a stop sign. The report said Ms. Holland's southbound minivan collided with Ms. Thevenin's eastbound sport utility vehicle.
*A driver from Goldsboro was injured in a two-car crash at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at North Spence Avenue and the entrance to Pinewood Square shopping center, police said. Betty S. Rouse, 58, of South Best Street was released after emergency-room treatment. The other motorist, Nakisha Shawnette Sherrod, 27, of Rollingwood Drive, Dudley, was charged with failure to reduce speed after the rear-end crash. Damages were set at $100.
*Two people were injured and their car was demolished in a wreck at 11:30 a.m. Friday on U.S. 117 near O'Berry Road, the Highway Patrol said. The driver, Nettie W. Tate, 58, and her passenger, Jonathan Tate, 23, both of Ruskin Road, Dudley, were released after emergency-room treatment. Ms. Tate was charged with exceeding a safe speed after the car ran off the right side, spun around and struck a tree, troopers said. The car was valued at $3,500.
*Damages were estimated at $6,700 in a two-vehicle collision at 2:03 p.m. Friday at N.C. 55 and Kelly Springs Road, the Highway Patrol said. One driver, Andrew James Zusi, 60, of New Bern, was charged with failure to reduce speed after the rear-end collision. The other eastbound driver, Ernest Bunn Kirby, 55, of Sandhill Drive, Dudley, was slowing to make a left turn.
