WCC to offer computer courses on line

Hundreds of continuing education courses that can be taken entirely via computer are available at Wayne Community College. Courses typically run for six weeks and most cost $55.
Courses range from basic computer literacy courses and programming to preparation for industry certification exams like A+ and MCSE.
Students can learn how to use a multitude of programs, such as desktop publishing, computer graphics and digital cameras. For those who want to do more than just use their computers, there are courses on computer networking and problem-solving. There are even courses to help get the most out of a Palm Pilot and Pocket PC.
There are seven courses on the Internet, including "Learn to Buy and Sell on e-Bay." There are also courses to learn how to design one's own Web site, with course topics ranging from the basics of creating Web pages to learning how to use specific programs, and another seven on Web graphics and multimedia.

The next two start dates for courses are Nov. 10 and Dec. 8. Students can register through the day the classes begin.
