Assault

Ronald Edward Pigg, 34, of North John Street told police that while he was standing outside a residence on North James Street at 10:30 Friday night, he was approached by a man who asked about the bike Pigg was riding. An argument ensued over the bike and the unknown man kicked Pigg as he fell to the ground.

Pigg was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Breaking and entering

Investigator Dale Foster of the Goldsboro Police Department's criminal investigation division, charged Nathaniel Wilcox, also known as Kwan Hunter, of Goldsboro with breaking and entering a motor vehicle, misdemeanor larceny, and possession of stolen goods.

He was charged in connection with an incident at El-Korita Restaurant on North Berkeley Boulevard that occurred in October 2003.

The Wayne County Grand Jury handed down a bill of indictment on the charges and for habitual felon in April 2004.

Wilcox was placed in Wayne County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is set for Monday.
