Council to consider rezonings

The Goldsboro City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday to consider the following items:
*A public hearing regarding a request by Austin Scott to rezone the east side of Rosewood Road between Glenn Drive and Moss Hill Drive from R-16 residential to R-12 residential.
*A public hearing regarding a request by Carlo Cook to rezone the north side of Royall Avenue between Wayne Memorial Drive and Jefferson Avenue from R-9 residential to neighborhood business.
*A public hearing regarding a request from Doug Herring to rezone the north side of NC 581 between Rosewood Road and Jumping Run Creek from R-16 residential to R-12 residential.
The board will also vote on whether or not to condemn the following buildings:
*A dilapidated dwelling at 901 Sixth St. owned by James Roy Worley Jr. of Princeton. It was originally inspected in 2003.
*A dilapidated dwelling at 2117 N. Berkeley Blvd., Kimberly W. Smith Dudley of Princeton, originally inspected in 2003.
*A dilapidated dwelling at 708 E. Walnut St., owned by Natasha Nacona Peterson of Goldsboro, originally inspected in 2003.
