Scooter Ryals and his wife, Beverly, work under clouds of cotton candy. They have been selling the sweet treat and candied apples at the Wayne County Agricultural Fair for 31 years. Although they live near Tampa, Fla., they said they consider Wayne County to be a home away from home when they get to visit every fall. Ryals said he is now serving parents who started buying from him when they were children.
