Life after 'Extreme Makeover'
Monika Barkley and some Wayne County residents will show up on television Friday during the "Dr. Phil Show."
The show airs in Goldsboro at 9 a.m. on CBS.
A film crew from the show was in Goldsboro last month to find out what life after an extreme makeover has been like for Mrs. Barkley. They interviewed her, along with some of her friends, at Billie's Restaurant in downtown Goldsboro.
She was chosen for the "Extreme Makeover" show after she was in "Dr. Phil McGraw's Weight Loss Challenge." She met her goal of losing 50 pounds.
After being away from family and friends for two months to have a variety of surgeries and treatments in California, Mrs. Barkley's new look was revealed in April at Billie's.
Floyd video sought
If you have video footage of Hurricane Floyd, its aftermath or both, National Geographic Television wants to talk to you.
National Geographic says it wants to tell the story of Floyd through the eyes of the people who were directly involved.
The station wants video of "rescues by boat, helicopter or ... swift rising waters, bridges blowing out, people trapped in homes or in cars. ... Video of pets being rescued and/or reunited with their owners. Video of farmers trying to save crops, farm animals being rescued. Any video of Emergency Responders at work in stations or on rescues. ... Video of heavy winds and rains during Floyd or Dennis."

Bloodmobile
The Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross will have a Bloodmobile on Friday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Social Security office, 2605 Medical Office Place, Goldsboro. Donors will receive a coupon for a free car wash.
