Farah Lindley Davis, daughter of Kim and Freda Davis of Fremont, has been invited to join Meredith College's White Iris Circle.
The primary purpose of the White Iris Circle is to enhance the positive image of Meredith College by using the talents of its students in recruitment events.
Sarah Finch and Sara Strickland of Goldsboro, Luis Miranda of Seven Springs, Rebecca Outlaw of Mount Olive and Devon Whichard of Pikeville are beginning their first year as members of the Mount Olive College Ambassadors.
The ambassadors promote campus spirit, student pride and loyalty. They also set an example for other students and organizations on campus.
Other members include Hillary Williams of Goldsboro, who is beginning her second year as an ambassador, and Ashley Schatzman of Goldsboro, who is beginning her fourth year.
Latesha Shaneice Levins, David Bruce Marshall and Brandy Saylor of Goldsboro and Irma Tinoco Abrego of Seven Springs are on the summer semester dean's list at Wilson Technical Community College. To qualify, the students had to achieve a grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
The following students from Goldsboro completed requirements for associate degrees during the summer semester at Wilson Technical Community College: James Charles Farfour, fire protection technology; Anthony Hall, electrical and electronics technology; Vicky Benton Lancaster, practical nursing education. Also, Stacy Michelle Woodruff of Fremont received a college-transfer associate of arts degree; John Ivey Alston of LaGrange received a degree in heavy equipment and transport technology; and Jennifer King Wheeler of Pikeville received a degree in practical nursing education.
