The Goldsboro City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in council chambers of City Hall.
Items on the agenda for Tuesday night's meeting include:
*Setting a public hearing for a contiguous annexation petition. Isaac J. and Brenda M. Mozingo have requested that 1.3 acres of Titleist Drive, west of Salem Church Road, be annexed into the city limits.
*Setting a public hearing for the placement of sewer lines on Spring Street, from Patetown Road to the end; on Twin Oaks Place, from New Hope Road to the end; and on Granville Drive, from Fedelon Trail to Beverly Lane.
*Considering an ordinance to establish a 45 mph speed limit zone on N.C. 111 from the U.S. 70 Bypass to 1,000 feet south of the bypass.
*Considering a supplement to the code of ordinances.
*Voting on whether to approve a request from Piggly Wiggly to rezone the west side of North Herman Street between Walnut Street and Mulberry Street from residential to neighborhood business.
*Voting on whether to approve a request from Robert Gene Boyette to rezone the south side of East Ash Street between Meadow Road and U.S. Highway 70 East from residential to general business.
*Voting on whether to use a tiered pricing scale for bulk compost sales. As the use of the city's compost becomes more widespread, the city has begun receiving inquiries from potential large buyers of bulk compost. The city's compost marketing consultant recommended a tiered pricing scale.
For sales of one through 100 cubic yards, the cost would be $8 per cubic yard. For 101 to 250 cubic yards, the cost would be $7.20 per cubic yard; 251 to 500 cubic yards would cost $6.80 per cubic yard, and 501 and more cubic yards would be $6.40 per cubic yard.
*Considering condemnation of the following dilapidated dwellings: 111/113 S. Kornegay St.; 115 S. Kornegay St.; and 1410 N. George St.
