MOUNT OLIVE -- Don't be speechless.

The Mount Olive College Speaker's Bureau literally has something for everyone in Eastern North Carolina. More than 20 staff and faculty members at the college form the Bureau, and together they offer more than 50 topics that are guaranteed to enlighten, inspire, and entertain any group.

For the young adult audience, there are a variety of topics ranging from depression and eating disorders to college readiness. For parent groups there's "Communication in Marriage," and "Financial Aid: Developing a Plan for College."

Nature lovers would benefit from "Gardening for the Birds," which is new to the Bureau this year, and history buffs would enjoy "Prehistoric Indian Cultures of North Carolina," or "Civil War Tactics and Strategy."

For business owners and managers there is "Goal Setting," "Stress Management in the Workplace," or "Leadership from Within," which promote employee communication and team-building skills, and for the baby boomers there are topics such as "Planning for Retirement," "Successful Aging," and "Taking Care of Your Aging Parents."

There are also a variety of topics for religious groups including: "A Beginner's Guide to Biblical Interpretation" and "Becoming a User-Friendly Church."

Add these topics and throw in a poetry reading, "Yoga for Stress Management," and "North Carolina Children's Writers," and you have speakers tailored for any group or occasion.

Scheduling for events can be made directly through the individual speakers. A complete list of topics and contact information is available on the college's website at www.moc.edu under news and events.
