A 27-year-old man wanted by Goldsboro police on a charge of murder was arrested Wednesday in Benson.

Leandren Andre Wilson of North Kornegay Street was charged with shooting Corry Lavon Grantham, 26, of Nor-Am Road.

Grantham's body was found Sunday at about 3 a.m. on Clingman Street in Goldsboro near the intersection of Corporate Drive.

Wilson was taken before Magistrate Sandra Castle, who ordered that he be held in the Wayne County Jail without bond. Wilson's first court appearance was scheduled for today to determine his legal representation.

Benson Police Detective Sarah Harris had notified Goldsboro police that Wilson might be in her city. She requested a photograph of the suspect. After receiving the photo, she contacted Investigator W.P. VanWijk and said Wilson was in custody.

VanWijk and Special Agent John Rea of the State Bureau of Investigation went to Benson and brought Wilson back to Goldsboro.
