Calypso adopts budget

CALYPSO -- The town board adopted the new budget Monday night after an uneventful public hearing.
Nobody from the public came.
There was no increase in taxes or fees.
The town's property tax rate remains at 47 cents on each $100 of property value.
The $346,6812 budget includes $205,363 in general fund expenses, $81,238 for water and an expected $11,300 for sewer.
The town expects to receive $48,780 in state grants for street repairs. The budget takes effect July 1.
