Construction of the bridge over Little River at N.C. 581 started last spring and is expected to be finished by November. It includes construction of a detour bridge, shown below. It is part of an overall $1.5 million improvement to N.C. 581 west of Goldsboro that is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
