Man with weapon
An 18-year-old man with a handgun reportedly kicked in the front door of Ameenah Plummer's residence on E. Oak Street on Friday night. She told police he pointed the gun at her and her husband, but when she picked up the phone to call for help, he fled in a vehicle.
Stolen vehicles
The theft of several vehicles were reported during
the weekend.
*A Warsaw man told police that while he attended a movie on Friday night, his 1986 Buick Skylark was taken from the theatre parking lot on Berkeley Boulevard. A 45-calibre handgun was inside the vehicle.
*Richard Green, 44, N. James Street, told police he left his 1998 Toyota Camry at a friend's home on Thursday and when he returned on Saturday, it was gone.
*In a parking lot on the 1600 block of Cuyler Best Road, a 1993 green Honda Civic was reportedly taken sometime overnight Friday.
*Tomeca Mack, 29, S. Harding Drive, reported the theft of a 2003 Honda motorcycle valued at $8,000 from a lot behind her residence.
Student assaulted
An 18-year-old Spring Creek High School student was reportedly assaulted by a 14-year-old female student as she arrived at school Friday morning.
The younger student reportedly approached the victim from behind, grabbed her hair, then pulled her to the ground and hit her several times. The two were separated by school personnel and no medical treatment was necessary.
The incident was investigated by Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Driver wrecks twice
A Goldsboro woman reportedly had two car accidents in six hours on Friday and was charged in both.
The first accident happened at 9:45 a.m. at Berke-
ley Boulevard and Cashwell Drive.
Billie Kaye Outley, 48, Central Drive, was charged with failure to reduce speed after she collided with a car as Charles Frank Johnson, 58, Bayleaf Drive, loaded items into it.
There was $900 damage to Outley's car and $100 worth done to Johnson's vehicle.
The second accident occurred at 3:39 p.m. at E. Ash Street near N. Spence Avenue.
Ms. Outley was reportedly traveling east in the right lane on Ash Street when she made an improper lane change where Bryan Thomas Powell, 32, E. Ash Street, was driving. A vehicle in front of Powell moved into the left turn lane and back into the left lane, causing Powell to slow down. Ms. Outley struck Powell's vehicle on the right rear corner.
She was charged with failure to reduce speed and improper lane change.
Investigations
Goldsboro police are investigating the following crimes:
*Five vehicles in a Deacon Jones parking lot on 11th Street were reportedly scratched by unknown means sometime Friday night. Estimated amount of damages was $5,500.
*A $1,500 gray scooter was reported stolen from the 3200 block of Central Heights Road by Edward McIntyre of Melodie Lane.
*A suspicious fire was reported to a storage room on the second floor of the Wayne County Community Center on W. Walnut Street at 5:03 a.m. Saturday.
*Tommy Cox, 53, Waters Circle, reported the theft of a checkbook, which was later recovered short of two checks. He said one check for $200 has already been cashed and he suspected a 42-year-old nephew who had previously lived at the residence.
