WCC honor inductees

Fifty-one students joined Wayne Community College's honor society in its traditional spring induction ceremonies witnessed by faculty, staff, friends and family. The students accepted the invitation of the Upsilon Chi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges, to join its ranks.
Phi Theta Kappa members represent the top 10 percent of students enrolled in two-year schools. To be invited into the society, WCC students must show academic achievement with a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average. They must have completed a minimum of 16 hours of course work leading to an associate degree.
The inductees are Mark Lee and Diann Merrill of Dudley; Brandon Tomlinson of Farmville; Joshua DuVall of Four Oaks; Mary Gwaltney and Amy Hendrix of Fremont.
Charlene Gage, Kenneth Lafone, Lynisha Smith and Casey Whitley of LaGrange; Sonya Grady and David Thornton of Mount Olive; Daniel Hux and Billy Mansfield of Pikeville; Jason Parker of Pine Level.
Also, Rhonda Barbour, George Grundy, Alice McKinney and Frances Rhodes of Princeton; William Clarke of Smithfield; Edith Cadwallader of Stantonsburg; Robert Wray of Warsaw; Christopher Rhodes of Winterville.
And, from Goldsboro, Jennifer Baron, Muriel Bennett, Christa Blue, Tiffany Brassard, Karrie Carman, Travis Crawford, Toya Dilworth, Patrick Etheridge, Martha Fagala, Brandon Harper, Ola Hare, Donna Hunter, Samantha Jones, Michele Knotts, Angela Mayville, Jaimie McKeaun, Domonica McLean, Gary Patterson, Renae Phillips, Patricia Robertson, Nordia Severino, Jesseca Shaw, Tawanda Stanley, Virginia Summers, Hei Man Tsui, Patricia Walker, Starr Whitmore, and Po Wah Yeung.
