Warrick to be sworn in

Jackie Warrick, the new representative for District 6 in Goldsboro, will be sworn in at Monday's City Council meeting.
The council will recognize Councilman Delmus Bridgers, who has been a council member since 1992. City Manager Richard Slozak said that Bridgers was in the hospital, and might not be able to make it for Monday's meeting.
In other matters the council will:
* Hold a public hearing for Phase XI, study area E, of the Goldsboro annexation plan.
*Consider whether to rezone the west side of Wayne Memorial Drive between Lockhaven Drive and Eleventh Streeet from general business and office and institutional to shopping center.
*Consider whether to rezone the north side of Hooks River Road between Elton Drive and U.S. Highway 117 Bypass from R-12 residential, I-5 general industry and watershed protection to office and institutional and watershed protection.
*Will set a public hearing regarding the initiation of zoning for Lane Farms and Howell Properties.
