ABWA Woman of the Year

Sharon Dentzer has been named Goldsboro's American Business Woman of the Year by the Goldsboro Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association.

Mrs. Dentzer will complete for the Top Ten National American Business Woman of the Year later this year.

Mrs. Dentzer has been a member of ABWA since 1996 and serves as chapter president. She graduated from Wayne Community College in 1984 with an A.A. degree in secretarial science.

Upon graduation, she worked with the Eastern North Carolina Church of God state office as an executive secretary to the State Overseer for three years.

In 1987, Mrs. Dentzer joined Crown Central Petroleum Corporation as a district secretary office manager for five years. In 1992, she received her B.A. degree in business management from Mount Olive College and received her teaching certification in business education in 1993 from East Carolina University.

She has been teaching business at Southern Wayne High School for 10 years.

This past November, she received her National Boards Certification.
