There's less than a week left before Goldsboro's rematch election between Danny Roseborough and Jackie Warrick in District 6.
Warrick and Roseborough will face off in the election next Tuesday for the district that spans eastern Goldsboro. The election is nonpartisan.
District 6 citizens wishing to vote before March 23 can go by the county elections office at 209 William St. between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to cast their vote. The last day for one-stop voting will be Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
So far, 97 people have voted in the one-stop process.
The district is represented by Councilman Delmus Bridgers, who will leave office once a new member is sworn in.
A new election was ordered for District 6 in December after the State Board of Elections found that the election process for that district had been tainted.
Traditional voting will take place Tuesday from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The following are District 6 precincts: Saulston Fire Station, New Hope Fire Station, the Family Y, Oak Forest Road Church, New Hope Friends Church, Greenwood Middle School and Goldsboro Wesleyan Church.
Voters going to the Greenwood Middle School precinct will have to take the side entrance to the gym, instead of the front entrance. The school is usually closed on Election Day, but won't be closed on March 23.
