A forum to help families get healthy will be offered on March 30 at the Herman Park Center.
The purpose of the forum is to inform parents about the importance of nutrition and healthy living and how to start children off right from infancy. Parents will be encouraged to become more active and eat healthier. The forum will offer some fun ways to do this.
Several businesses and community agencies will have informational booths set up. Guest speakers include Dr. Chris Griffin from Goldsboro Pediatrics, Stephanie Howard from the local WIC office, and Michael Jones from Tarheel Human Services.
Registration will begin at 5 p.m. The event is sponsored by the WAGES Health Services Advisory Council, Goldsboro Pediatrics and The Wayne County Partnership for Children.
Those participating include the Wayne County Health Department, The Asthma Coalition, Wayne County Partnership for Children, and WAGES.
Contact Betty Kearney at 734-1178 or Christi Sutton at 735-3371 if you have any questions.
