Man captured

A 37-year-old man wanted on three felony charges in Wayne County was arrested recently by Fayetteville police, detained in the Cumberland County Jail and turned over Wednesday to Wayne County sheriff's officers.

Herbert Ainsworth Henderson Jr. of N.C. 222 East, Fremont, was accused of stealing a dishwasher and a stove during break-in at a home on Eva's Drive in northeastern Wayne County, Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Carl Lancaster said. The property, valued at $900, was stolen Feb. 16.

Henderson was charged with breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $5,000 secured bond. Another arrest is pending, detectives said.

Restaurant break-in

A Goldsboro man was arrested Wednesday by police and charged with breaking into and stealing money from a fast-food restaurant.

Joseph Wilson Delgado, 33, of West Grantham Street was accused of breaking into Aggie's Steak Subs at 212 W. Ash St., Goldsboro Investigator K.S. Harris said. Delgado was also was picked up on a probation violation. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $12,000 secured bond.

Driver injured

A driver from LaGrange was injured at noon Wednesday in a two-car, rear-end accident in which neither auto showed damage, Goldsboro police said. Carolyn K. Ellis, 53, of Taylor Street was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital.

The other motorist, Samantha Brooke Lawrence, 18, of Trappers Run Drive, was charged with failure to reduce speed after the collision on North Spence Avenue at Mall Road.

Investigations

Wayne County law-enforcement officers are investigating these reports:

*A digital video camcorder, two rings, two bracelets and a watch were stolen Wednesday after a door was forced open at a home in the 100 block of South Running Deer Circle, sheriff's deputies said. The resident A.Y. Kennon, estimated the stolen property's value at $790 and damage at $100.

*Three digital cameras, two drills, a dining room set and a weed trimmer have been stolen over the last six months from Kmart at 201 N. Berkeley Blvd., Goldsboro police said. The property was valued at $749.

Burglary

A 28-year-old Goldsboro woman was arrested Wednesday by Goldsboro police and charged with second-degree burglary. Vanessa Futrell of Mike Circle was accused of a break-in Feb. 17 to a home in the 300 block of East Spruce Street, Investigator W.P. VanWijk said. Ms. Futrell was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $5,000 secured bond.

Drug charge

A 28-year-old Goldsboro man was arrested Wednesday by the Goldsboro-Wayne County Drug Squad and charged with a felony drug offense on East Walnut Street.

Rashon Orlando West of North Center Street was charged with possession of cocaine. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $4,000 secured bond.

Correction

An article in Tuesday's Public Record gave the incorrect information on a wreck that occurred Friday on N.C. 111 at a driveway to Walker Memorial Church. According to the Highway Patrol report, both cars were going north. Bobby Dean Cottle was passing two vehicles when Kevin Gerard King made a left turn in front of Cottle. Cottle's car struck the back of King's car and forced him off the road.
