3HC names hospice director

Home Health and Hospice, a leading local home health and hospice provider serving eastern North Carolina, has named Robert Stewart as director of hospice. He will be responsible for the management, enhancement and growth of hospice services for the non-profit organization, including its pharmacy and the Kitty Askins Hospice Center at Goldsboro.
"I am very pleased to add Bob's seasoned experience and leadership to our management team," said Beverly Withrow, President of 3HC. "His experience and ongoing commitment to home health and hospice care will serve 3HC well for many years to come."
Stewart brings 28 years of clinical and administrative experience in health care and finance to 3HC. He holds undergraduate degrees in both nursing and business administration, as well as a master's degree in nursing administration. He has been a subject-matter expert in finance, budget, and Medicare reimbursement for the National Association for Home Care's executive certification program.
Stewart holds Diplomat status in the American College of Health Care Executives, and is board certified in both health care management, and home health administration.
He has served on the board of directors of the National Hospital Network System, Trac Medical, Inc., and the American Red Cross Advisory Council. For the last six years, Stewart has served as the chief financial officer for the Amran Chapter of the Shriners Hospitals for Children. He is a member of the Triangle Health Care Executives Forum and the North Carolina Association for Home and Hospice Care.
