Jimmy Bryan's swearing-in ceremony will be at 7 p.m. Monday in council chambers in City Hall.
Before the swearing-in, the Goldsboro City Council will present a resolution of appreciation to Councilman Rhodes for his 16 years of service.
After Rhodes is recognized by his fellow council members, Chief District Court Judge Joseph E. Setzer will administer the oath of office for Bryan.
Other than that, the agenda for the council is fairly light. It includes:
*A request to rezone the north side of Wayne Memorial Drive between Fourth and Sixth streets from R-9 residential to neighborhood business.
*A request to close Sunset Lane.
*A request to approve the final subdivision plat for Fallin Place, which includes upscale apartments and a 14-screen theater.
