One more week: Election Day will soon bring endless campaign to a finish

One week. Seven days. That is all we have left to go.

We can make it. We can make it for another week.

After all, it's been how many weeks since this election campaign began? Or should we say years?

It seems like we have been in this struggle for the latter, with the big question still unanswered: Who will succeed Barack Obama as the next president of the United States? Hillary Clinton, who can be expected to be much like Obama in her policies, or Donald Trump, who offers change on a scale likely never seen before in the nation's capital.

After eight years of Obama, we know that many voters want a change. That's why we are backing Mr. Trump.

But either way it will be good to get this campaign over with. The campaign has shown the nation at its most divisive, and to have a chance to reunite after another bruising round of politics will hopefully allow us to begin to heal our wounds (Americans are very good at that) and get back to normal. That is, until the next campaign begins.
