Faith-full: Response to Pope Francis' visit to Philadelphia encouraging

It doesn't mean we are out of the woods yet, but the news out of Philadelphia this weekend is reason to think positively about the future.

Nearly a million people turned out Sunday to hear Pope Francis speak as the pontiff wound down his U.S. tour.

That's right, nearly a million.

Disagree with his views if you want -- and there is some reason to question some of them -- but the bottom line is, Pope Francis struck a chord with the American people.

This weekend's turnout suggests that maybe there are more than a few people who are looking for a spiritual leader and meaning in their lives.

And that should give us all hope.

Maybe, just maybe, faith is making a comeback.
