Moving on: Money is divided. On to more good news.

Mount Olive got its deal.

There are still questions about why money that is spent to market a county agriculture center would not be enough of a benefit for a portion of the county that focuses on a booming agriculture economy, but the debate is over and the deal is done.

However, we cannot resist pointing out that Mount Olive is part of Wayne County and benefits in many ways from countywide tax dollars -- and travel and tourism dollars.

But, as we said, the debate is over.

Now that the deal is in place, it is time to move forward quickly to get the ducks in a row to get the next steps accomplished on what could be a real boon for Goldsboro, Wayne County and the region itself.

The construction of a new agriculture center in an area where that is an important part of business has many, many pluses.

First of all, it is a magnet for those who also do agriculture business -- and the companies who employ people educated in such pursuits.

And second, when that new construction is coupled to a new civic center concept, you have a location that can draw in visitors from all over the region and state.

And just in case you are too busy thinking about how nice a place this is going to be to hear the cash registers ringing, that's right, more people mean more dollars and more growth for this county.

The best part of this new deal is also that along with it will come an athletic field project -- a joint agreement with Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

With a little investment, this area also will have a place where local children can play and tournaments can bring more money to the area.

And what happens when tournaments come to an area? Participants need hotels and food and they spend money in other ways, too.

Sounds like a win-win to us.

The joint county/city effort was a bit surprising in the ease by which it was achieved -- and there are a few people who deserve a lot of credit for that.

We can't wait to see how it all turns out.

And, hey, why not revel in a little good news.
