Resiliency: Former President Bush example of long, happy life

It seems like he is almost indestructible.

The news that former President George H.W. Bush injured his neck made many people worry.

After all, he is 91.

But it is amazing to see that not only is the former president going strong, but that doctors think he will be fine after an injury that could even have sidelined a much-younger person.

But then again, this is the same man who did a tandem jump out of an airplane to mark his 90th birthday.

Former President Bush is an example not only of how to define your life as a person, but how to add years to that life.

And he is not the only one around proving that life can be lived long past your 80th birthday. There are a few examples even closer to home.

If you have ever met Dr. Lee Adams, a well-known philanthropist and longtime Relay for Life volunteer, you know exactly what we mean.

His energy puts the rest of us to shame.
