Fudd call: World got you down? Join Dillyn and Chase's team.

Does what happened in Baltimore make you sad about your country?

Are you tired of the political bickering on television and not even close to ready to delve into the constant negative that is a presidential campaign?

We have the solution.

Become a part of the support system being formed for two little boys battling a deadly disease with courage and sunshine.

Become a Fudd-er.

You don't have to shave your head to belong. All you have to do is give a little bit to the fund being established to take care of some of the medical expenses of Dillyn Hamilton and Chase Hooker as they battle leukemia.

And you have to believe in Dillyn's mantra -- 'Bald? So what.'

So what indeed.

Who can see a shaved head when courage, smiles and hope shine so brightly.

And who can focus on the wrongs of the world and the people who perpetrate and capitalize upon them in the face of the stories of these two adorable boys and their families?

So here is the challenge: Let's give Dillyn and Chase a real party.

Come down to Morgan's Bar, 2715 E. Ash St., on Friday night -- no excuses -- and drop a couple dollars in the bucket or get yourself some barbecue for dinner. Every little bit is a support these young boys and their families will appreciate.

Yes, you have the time -- even if it is only to drive by and stop for a minute or two. Make it a priority. (And snap a selfie as you do. We want to see them -- especially if you decide to go full Fudd.)

There is no doubt in our minds that when you leave, you will feel better -- and you just might have a little more perspective on your own life.

And that is worth the time -- and the donation.

Of course, if you absolutely cannot make it downtown, send in a donation, with a card cheering Dillyn and Chase on. Send them here (Fudd Fund, P.O. Box 10629, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534) and we will get them to the families.

We can't wait to see the results.

We know you won't let us down.
