Hard to watch: Baltimore riots not about any kind of justice

It was hard enough to watch the violent protests, looting and fires in Baltimore.

Imagine what it must have been like to live there.

There is no question what the next move should be for any city, any leader facing such lawlessness under the guise of protests for change.

Identify the perpetrators and arrest them. Period.

It would send a message -- that peaceful demonstrations to get people talking about race, justice and police are not the same as thugs roaming the streets, breaking into businesses and setting fires.

The first group is composed of people who are trying to make their community a better place.

The second group is composed of criminals.

And the second is just as dangerous as the minority of bad apple police officers who are disgracing their badges.

This is not about revenge. And it is not about reparations for wrongs done to a race.

It is about opportunists using a situation that deserves investigation as a chance for ill-gotten gain.

And it needs to be stopped. Period.
