Just listen: Hoopla over Netanyahu speech nothing but politics

Really. The reason President Barack Obama's staff and some Democrats are refusing to attend the speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is because they are worried about influencing Israel's elections.

Sure they are. The bottom line is -- this is politics -- on both sides.

The invitation was a reaction to the president's continued calls for executive orders -- a show of defiance if you will.

And the administration's refusal to attend the speech is a direct result of the fact that the Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner set it up.

Here we go again.

Attend the speech, gentlemen and ladies -- and listen to the Israeli prime minister's comments. It is critical to understanding the real threats in the Middle East.

It does not matter how he got here. What matters is having all the information possible to make responsible decisions.

The rest is petty school yard bickering.

Exactly what we told you we did not want.
