Still time to help: Rain might have caused some trouble, but effort still going strong

The weather wasn't exactly ideal for the annual News-Argus Stuff the Bus campaign to benefit the Communities in Schools program.

But even with the rain coming down, Wayne County residents responded, braving the elements to bring in their donations of school supplies for needy children.

Because of those generous contributions, many students will go back to school with all the supplies they need this fall.

But more help is needed.

Because of the need this year, and because of the inclement weather last week, the News-Argus has decided to extend its collection indefinitely. To participate, simply bring your school supply donation to the newspaper office and we will get the items to Communities in Schools.
