Out with ... Recent reports, findings make it seem like time for change

Perhaps they have simply been around Washington too long.

Maybe we are just tired of seeing their faces and hearing the spin.

But today's report on the Benghazi attacks is just one more piece of evidence that perhaps it is time to look around for some new blood to take over the work that needs to be done in Washington.

It has been a disappointing year, that is for sure, when it comes to the number and breadth of findings revealed about some of those entrusted to keep this country moving.

And this is just the latest.

There is this odd fact about those who have been in power too long -- they tend to forget for whom they work.

And that observation can be made about many of the people who are roaming the halls of not only the White House and the Capitol, but those who are tasked with running more than a few government agencies, as well.

In fact, many of them have seemed not only downright incompetent and arrogant, but also oblivious to any worries that they might lose their jobs.

There comes a time when it is time to make a change. Perhaps this latest disappointment is a sign that 2014 might be the year to start.
