One weekend left: There's still plenty to see at your county fair

When an event is run well, few people talk about the nuts and bolts.

They tell their friends about how much fun they had and all that there was to see and do. But few of them acknowledge, or really know, how much work went into making sure they had such a good time.

The Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair is not good by accident. Loads of dedicated workers and volunteers devote months of planning and hundreds of hours during fair week to make sure the event moves smoothly.

That is why it is safe, and that is why it is fun to go.

If you have not made it out to the fairgrounds yet, there is still one weekend left. So round up your youngsters and head on out to the fair.

There will be the usual fair fare and stuff to do as well as the chance to spend a little time bonding as you tour the livestock barns.

It is a low-cost way to take a break from today's on-the-go world -- and to make a few memories at the same time.

We'll see you there.
