Hard truth: Economic reality is -- this plan is not working

Don't let those politicians fool you. No one has the exact answer on how to make this economy do anything other than what it is doing.

There is no road map; there are no easy answers. If there were, they would already have been implemented.

But the bottom line is, what we have been doing for the last three years is quite simply not working, even if some would like to pretend otherwise.

President Barack Obama is still pointing fingers at the last president -- and promising that his policies will work if they are given the time to ripen and mature.

Don't bet on it. He has had free rein to get his agenda passed and working -- and it has made the economy worse.

It is too early really to make a definitive stance one way or the other on the November election. But it is never too early to start thinking about what this country really needs.

And no matter who proposes it, one thing is certain -- it needs a change.
