Connor Ellyn Langston and Matthew Alexander Keeter exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 9, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. at River Landing Country Club, with pastor Jimmie Suggs Jr. officiating.

The bride is the daughter of William Bryant Langston of Goldsboro and Michael and Carla Hollowell Massengill of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late George Dallas Langston Sr. of Goldsboro, the late Lois Casteen Langston of Goldsboro, Betty Hollowell-Jordan and Kay Hollowell of Goldsboro and the late Rodney Hollowell of Goldsboro.

The bride is a graduate of Eastern Wayne High School in Goldsboro and a cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education. She is currently pursuing a Masters in School Counseling at East Carolina University, and will graduate in May 2017. She is employed as a high school counselor at Heide Trask High School in Rocky Point, N.C., in Pender County Schools.

The groom is the son of Michael Scott and Julie Cocke Keeter of Charlotte and the grandson of Nancy Moore Keeter and the late William Ernest Keeter Sr. of Charlotte and the late William Ruffin Coleman and Alma Watson Cocke of Charlottesville, Va.

He is a graduate of Myers Park High School in Charlotte and a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science degree in business/finance. He is employed as a banking relationship manager at Live Oak Bank in Wilmington, N.C.

The bride was escorted by her father, William Bryant Langston, and given in marriage by her family.

The bride wore an ivory embroidered lace Morilee gown with a beautiful V-neckline and dramatic V-shaped back accented with a gracefully scalloped hemline. Her gown was accompanied by a crystal and pearl embellished hair comb single-length veil, and she carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas, blush roses and pink and white lisianthus.

Kelly Langston Capps, sister of bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Megan Padrick, sister of the groom, and Morgan Smith, Laurel Blake, Carley Roberts, Sarah Donnelly and Sarah Owens, friends of the bride.

Scott Keeter, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Keeter, brother of the groom; Ian Padrick, brother-inlaw of the groom; Stalen Massengill, brother of the bride; and Thomas Brafford, Scott Cottrill and Brett Cherry, friends of the groom.

Madelyn and Carlee Keeter, nieces of groom, were flower girls.

Marjorie Donnelly, friend of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs were Hannah Ashley, Karen Buster and Lindsey Brown, friends of the couple.

Scripture readers were Daniel Hartley, cousin of the bride, and Brooke Wilson, friend of the bride. A program of wedding music was provided by guitarist and vocalist Lee Taylor.

A reception was held in the Grand Ballroom at River Landing Country Club of Wallace, N.C., with music provided by DJ Tommy King.

After a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple resides in Wilmington, N.C.

A rehearsal dinner was held at River Room at River Landing Wallace, N.C.

Events that were held before the wedding included a Christmas ornament engagement party in December 2015 given by friends of the couple; a recipe shower Feb. 14, 2016, given by Julie Rigby and Julie Flynt, friends of bride; a miscellaneous shower at Rosewood First Baptist Church given by family and friends of the

bride April 3, 2016; and a bridesmaids’ brunch held July 8, 2016, at Hops Supply in Wilmington, N.C., hosted by friends of the bride’s mother.
