Staris O'Nita Best of Butner and Clifton Leon Powell of Durham exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony March 28, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Christian Faith Center with pastor Brenda Timberlake officiating.

The bride is the daughter of David Arthur Best Sr. and Priscilla Robinson Best, of Goldsboro, and the granddaughter of the late Joseph Baldwin and Hattie Best Thompson and the late Rosell McKinley Robinson, Sr. and Luevonia Broadhurst Robinson.

She graduated from North Carolina Central University with a bachelor's of arts in education and is employed as the Director of Law School Relations at NCCU School of Law.

The groom is the son of the late James Eddie Holloway Jr. and Mary Powell Holloway Lipscomb and the grandson of the late James Eddie Holloway Sr. and Izolia Blake Holloway and the late Henry Lewis Powell and Sarah Powell Grant.

He attended Durham Technical Community College. He is employed as a print technician at Valassis Communications.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Groomsmen were Christian Powell and Devin Taylor.

Kayla Taylor and Christina Powell were bridesmaids.

Ushers were David A. Best Jr. and Matthew Chavis.

Cayla Powell, Maya Brown and Kara Vernon were flower girls.

Caiden Powell was the ring bearer and Jamison Best was the announcer.

Christanie Jones directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Linda Spruill. Kinna Clark distributed programs. Bridal attendants were Angela Jimerson and Kia Vernon.

A reception was held at Christian Faith Center after the ceremony.

After the weddin trip, the couple will reside in Butner, N.C.
