Tasha Logan of Rocky Mount and Calvin Ford of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Dec. 20, 2014, at 3 p.m. at the Preston Woodall House, with pastor Ken Jefferson Jr. officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Vera B. Logan and the late James E. Logan of Goldsboro

The groom is the son of Daisy P. Ford and the late Wallace N. Ford Sr. of Goldsboro

The bride was escorted by her father’s nephew, Mr. Leonard Ellis, and given in marriage by Mr. Ellis and her mother, Mrs. Vera B. Logan.

She wore a lace trumpet gown with a sweetheart neckline, beaded lace appliqués and shirred-tulle bodice with a chapel train.

Her headpiece was a two-tier white standard tulle veil with a continuous pearl edge along the bottom.

The bride carried a silk bouquet of white hydrangeas, spray roses, freesia and lily of valley adorned with broaches. In honor of her father, the bride wore earrings given to her mother, Vera, by James Logan on their wedding day, and her parents’ wedding bands were part of the ring ceremony.

Tonisa Lifsey, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor, while Bridesmaids were Nichole Sutton, Tanishua Bynum, Nedra Edwards Hines and LaKeisha McCormick.

Twin brother of the groom, Alvin Ford, served as best man. Groomsmen were Devon Ford, Wallace Ford Jr., Michael Ford and Ricardos Ford. Ushers were Miquel J. Lifsey, Keyon Gaines and Matthew Sutton.

Mr. Joel Hurley directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Mrs. Muriel Ellis. Additional support for the ceremony and reception was provided by Tyrisha Williams, Keonda Burden, Brenda Brewington and Barbara Smith. Stephanie Ross, Julie Metz and Sherry Archibald decorated for the reception held at the same location following the ceremony.

A program of wedding music was provided by Mrs. Estine Wilson, pianist, Ms. Erica Walker and the bride as vocalists and additional music provided by Scott Ely.

A rehearsal dinner was held Dec. 19, 2014, at the Preston Woodall House, as well as a Sunday brunch Dec. 21, 2014, at the same location.

Friends of the bride hosted a weekend celebration in Myrtle Beach, S.C., prior to the wedding and a bridal shower was hosted by the bride’s co-workers in Rocky Mount Dec. 16.

After a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamica, the couple will reside in Rocky Mount, N.C.
