Smith-Vinson
Casey Dawn Smith and Brandon Taylor Vinson exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 14, 2014, at 6 pm. at Hinnant Family Vineyards, with Dr. Elvin Butts officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Roger Jordan and Dawn Gurley Smith of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Jean McCoy of Cove City and the late Rex Smith of Goldsboro and Julia Gurley and the late Malcolm Gurley of Goldsboro.
The groom is the son of Ernest Lee and Beverly Benton Vinson of Goldsboro and the grandson of the late Z.C. Vinson Jr. and Virginia Vinson of Goldsboro, Marie Benton of Goldsboro and the late Richard Benton of Goldsboro.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a Mori Lee fit-and-flare gown in Venise lace with a floral overlay. The fitted bodice featured a high neckline with cap sleeves and a v-shaped back. The gown included a jeweled floral beaded sash. She wore a cathedral-length raw-edge tulle veil. The bride carried a clutch bouquet of white hydrangea and pink peonies with sprengeri fern and italian ruscus. The stems were covered by a burlap wrap with a pearl closure and the bride’s monogrammed initials.
Jessi Carter served as matron of honor, while Brooke Gray was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brittany Jones, Brittany Williams, Chasity Smith, Cortney Morton, Danielle Hare and Olivia Lewis.
Ernest Vinson served as best man. Groomsmen of honor was David Benton. Groomsmen were Brandon Voyles, Nick Barrow, Nick Chandler, Rex Smith and Scotty Boyette.
Kate Hunter was flower girl. Conner Jones was ringbearer.
Pam Gurley directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Dana Kelman. Brittany Hankins distributed programs. Fan attendants were Ashley Lucas and Kennedy Carter.
Melanie Bishop was the vocalist. Guitarist was Matthew Letchworth.
A reception was hosted by the parents of the bride at Hinnant Family Vineyards in Pine Level.
After a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C., the couple resides in Goldsboro, N.C.
A rehearsal was hosted by the parents of the groom at Lane Tree Golf Club in Goldsboro.
